I thought it would be appropriate to answer the question with this picture. I am a lot of things but the most important to me is MOM! I have a lot on my plate just like every one else, but to know that I come home to these 2 girls everyday makes everything seem so minimal.
So who am I besides a mother?? I am an eductor. I have worked in the field of special education for over 12 years. I have been a substitute, teacher, mentor, advocate, and now an administrator for elementary special education. My career is very important to me for the pure fact that I do it for the children and for the parents of the special needs children. I am by no means an expert in the field of special education but do feel that I can provide the assistance and support that parents need when dealing with the needs of their children with disabilities. I am currently pursuing my doctorate of education from Georgia Southern University in Educational leadership with a specialization in special education. I am a soccer mom that is at the field at least 3 days a week!! This to us is life. I have a wonderful husband that spoils me for everything he does for me and our family.
I will continue to post on areas that I feel are important and relevent, but also when I feel like I just need to blow off some steam!! Until then :)
